He was involved in operation deep freeze I think between 1966-68. He was either a Lt. Commander or Commander at that time.
Unfortunately he passed away on July 7th 2006. Arch was a quiet but an intelligent , wonderful father.
I’m regretting now that I didn’t listen more closely to his stories of his time on the ice, as he talked frequently of Antarctica and his friends there.
There is only one friend of his I can remember, that was with him at this time. A Price Lewis who worked for the NSF on the ice after retiring from the Navy as a captain. If anyone knew my dad I’d really appreciate any info you may have.
Thanks much,
