    I am breaking my silence on this board because I think there are people out there who will want to know that Joe Willhoit, a UT at McMurdo for many years, has been killed in an accident. The funeral is tomorrow. This is all the info I was able to find. I am sick at heart.

    According to the Nebraska State Patrol an accident Tuesday evening took the life of a Sargent man. Joe Willhoit, 58 of Sargent was east bound on Highway 70 between Highway 183 and Road 452 and was driving a tractor. Joe White, 25 of Burwell was driving a car and struck the tractor from behind. Willhoit died at the scene and White was taken to Melham Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The Nebraska State Patrol continues to investigate the accident.

    Joe was one of the most enjoyable persons to be around of anyone I met on the ice. Rest in Peace.
