I am a PA student and have been entertaining the idea of working the ice. I would be interested in hearing from any of the PA’s, NP’s, Physicians or medics that have worked at any of the stations.
What is the typical work day? How are the cases managed? I understand you have a lab and a radiology department, but what other diagnostic resources are available. How was the employment process handled. How competitive is the pay. Are CE’s available while you are there. Are there any special licenses required to work there? How is the insurances aspect handled?
These are only a few of the questions that I have but they should give a basic idea of the direction of thought. Any help would be appreciated.
